Now that I have had the right hand done of carpal tunnel release surgery done, now its time for the left to be done. Thursday October 12 I go in at 9:00 am to get my left hand done. When I was at my follow up appointment for my right hand the doctor said it can take from 6 months up to a year for the nerves to be repaired from the surgery. So the only side effect I have from the surgery is some pins and needle pain in my middle and ring finger. I still can’t do a push up but that is normal. I am slowly building strength by lifting a 5lb weight now that I can. My doctor suggested a 1 to 2 pound weight at the third week mark post op. My anxiety has got the best of me yet again only cause anesthesia is not usually my friend. It wasn’t too bad back in September however I highly suggest you stay off social media so you don’t end up making crazy videos and start adding all your co-workers on snapchat. I have taken precautions at work to not let carpal tunnel come back by buying the wrist supports that go in front of the keyboard and the mouse. I would have bought a new keyboard but they are not cheap. Hoping for a good day on Thursday.
